An 8-by-10 inch watercolor painting framed in a 11-by-14 inch Barnwood frame, will be fashioned after a memorable photograph of a koala featured in the books KOALAS: MOVING PORTRAITS OF SERENITY and KOALAS: ZEN IN FUR. The images, taken in 2003, are of a koalas mother and child pair named Leanne (mother) and Brandt (son) of the San Francisco Zoo, is where the Klassic Koalas journey started. Derived from a print, the artwork may also contain a combination of pastel and colored pencil applications. The acid-free, cold pressed watercolor paper gets torn by hand to yield deckled-edges, for a true fine art appeal. Joanne Ehrich, a trained artist besides author and publisher of Klassic Koalas books, will paint the final image in a manner that is reminiscent of traditional watercolor techniques, rendering it virtually indistinguishable from expensive commissions. Arriving at your door, is a professionally mounted barn wood frame with a clear glazing that is crack resistant during transit.
